I’m in the planning phase of a new high-voltage substation build and need a seasoned scheduler to turn our engineering and procurement strategy into a transparent, logic-driven baseline in Primavera P6.

The core of the work is two-fold: first, craft a complete timeline that reflects HV substation realities—long-lead equipment, outage windows, energisation milestones—and, second, run a thorough schedule quality-assurance pass (DCMA 14-point or equivalent) to prove the programme is sound. Although the master file will live in P6, familiarity with MSP is useful because part of the QA involves cross-checking imported data sets for consistency.

Deliverables
• Level 2/3 baseline schedule in Primavera P6 (.xer) plus PDF and XLS extracts
• QA report highlighting all metrics checked, with recommendations for any corrective actions
• Brief narrative outlining critical path, float drivers, and key assumptions

Acceptance criteria: the schedule must be logically linked, free of open ends and date constraints, pass agreed QA thresholds, and be ready for executive sign-off.

If you’ve built or audited schedules for electrical transmission or substation projects before and can start quickly, I’d like to hear how you would approach this assignment.
