Human-Built Modern Blog CMS

We are a small enthusiast airshow review website with an ancient site that doesn't even feature any mobile-responsiveness. Our pages are still individually hand-crafted. We are looking for a new website to host our existing content built around an open-source and maintainable CMS such as Wordpress, but other options can be happily considered.

We do have a webmaster in-house who can maintain the site post launch but no longer works in the web development field so creating a new site from scratch is a bit beyond them.

We do have some design mockups already and would welcome feedback on that too. Our review articles are image heavy and a gallery feature is a must.

Ideally, our existing content should be scrapable and included in the new site in the new format as well.

We have a limited budget for this project - we are enthusiast run with no income source for the site itself, but we will happily take quotes.
