Hindi YouTube Script Writer

I’m starting a new YouTube channel and I’m looking for an Indian freelance scriptwriter / script doctor / script reviewer who can work with me on an ongoing basis.

This is not primarily about writing every script from zero.

I will give you an existing script, mainly in Hindi, and your job will be to read it carefully, visualize how the final video will feel, and suggest or make changes that can turn an average script into something people actually want to keep watching.

I will also share a sample/reference video so you understand the style, pacing, storytelling and overall feel we are trying to achieve.

What I need from you

When you receive a script, I want you to think like a combination of:

- YouTube scriptwriter
- Storyteller
- Screenwriter / movie writer
- Content strategist
- Audience member

Don't just correct grammar.

I want you to feel the story and visualize the video while reading it.

You should be able to identify things like:

- Is the first 10 seconds strong enough?
- Where can we create a better hook?
- Where might viewers lose interest?
- Can a sentence be made more emotional or powerful?
- Is there enough curiosity to make someone continue watching?
- Can some sections be made funnier, warmer, more relatable or more dramatic?
- Is something being explained for too long?
- Can we create better suspense or anticipation?
- Does the story flow naturally?
- Are there opportunities for callbacks, surprises or memorable moments?
- Does the ending leave an impact?
- Can the script sound more natural when spoken in Hindi?

Depending on the topic, the script may require emotion, humour, love, curiosity, suspense, surprise, seriousness, excitement or inspiration. You should understand what the particular story needs rather than using the same formula everywhere.

Channel workload

I expect to publish approximately 3-5 videos per month initially.

Each video will probably be around 5 minutes long.

For now, the priority is Hindi scripts. There may eventually be English versions as well, but Hindi is what I want to focus on first.

What I'm looking for

I am specifically looking for an individual freelancer from India — not an agency or company.

You may be:

- A professional scriptwriter
- YouTube scriptwriter
- Film / short-film writer
- Story writer
- Screenwriter
- Copywriter with strong storytelling skills
- Someone working in media, cinema or digital content
- Or simply someone exceptionally good at understanding stories and audience attention

You don't necessarily need a huge portfolio, but you should have a very strong sense of storytelling.

I prefer someone who is creative, easy to communicate with and willing to challenge a script when something can genuinely be improved.

This can become a long-term collaboration if we work well together.

When applying, please tell me:

1. Where in India are you based?
2. What kind of scripts/content have you written before?
3. Please share your best 2–3 examples if available.
4. Have you written for YouTube, films, short films, ads, reels or storytelling channels?
5. Are you comfortable reviewing and improving someone else's script instead of always writing from scratch?
6. What do you normally look for when reviewing a YouTube script?
7. What would you charge for reviewing/improving a roughly 5–10 minute Hindi video script?

Most importantly: tell me a little about how you think about storytelling.

Please don't send only a generic proposal saying, “I am a professional content writer with X years of experience.”

I would rather work with someone who genuinely understands why people feel something, laugh, become curious, get surprised and keep watching a story until the end.

I will share a sample script and video style with shortlisted freelancers so we can see whether our thinking matches.
