Job Title
DIALux Evo Lighting Designer – Commercial Highway Retail Outlet (NH16, India)
Project Overview
We require a highly qualified freelance Electrical Engineer / Lighting Designer to create a comprehensive, data-driven outdoor and canopy lighting design for a commercial retail outlet located along the National Highways Authority of India (NH16) corridor.
The property sits adjacent to an elevated highway flyover and features a deep 27-meter setback between the highway edge and the primary commercial structures. The primary goal of this design is two-fold: uncompromising operational safety and high-impact visual marketing to attract fast-moving traffic from the elevated overbridge.
Scope of Work & Technical Deliverables
The freelancer must build a complete simulation model in DIALux Evo (Version 12 or newer) using exact site dimensions. We are not looking for a generic layout technician; we require a true design engineering process that delivers:
1. 3D Elevation Line-of-Sight Mapping: You must utilize Google Earth Pro 3D terrain/elevation data to accurately plot the driver's downward viewing angle from the crest of the adjacent elevated flyover (estimated height variance: 6.5m to 7.5m above our ground level) down to our property entryway.
2. Setback Transition Engineering: Design a seamless lighting runway across the 27-meter dark setback void using highly targeted Asymmetric Optic Floodlights to ensure uniform safety without throwing illegal blinding glare into the eyes of highway traffic.
3. High-Uniformity Canopy Profiling: The main canopy and sales forecourt must be engineered to a clean, dense 200+ Lux target, serving as a solid, high-contrast visual beacon against the bright ambient light barrier of the highway's existing street lighting.
4. Local Subcontinent Procurement Alignment: You are strictly prohibited from using default European or American lighting fixture libraries built into DIALux. The entire project must be simulated using official, verified IES/LDT photometric files downloaded directly from current Indian manufacturing catalogs (e.g., Crompton Spectacle/Tango series, Philips, Bajaj, or Havells).
5. Data Documentation Required:
• Full DIALux PDF Engineering Report.
• Isoline / Lux Contour Plot Map showing exact light gradients across the concrete pad.
• Pseudo-Color Renderings demonstrating strict mathematical color codes for lux distribution (rather than just "pretty" aesthetic 3D pictures).
• Final native .evo project file.
Required Qualifications
• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering (B.Tech / BE / AMIE).
• Proven portfolio demonstrating successful outdoor infrastructure, highway, parking yard, or large-scale industrial facility design (residences, offices, and pure interior design portfolios will be automatically rejected).
• Deep familiarity with Indian electrical codes, high-ambient urban light barriers, and localized equipment durability factors (e.g., managing dust, grit, and high-wind environments).
• Must include at least two (2) rounds of revision within the bid to accommodate on-ground structural pole modifications if required during construction.
