High School ERP Attendance Module

I am building a full School ERP for a high-school audience and want to start with a rock-solid Attendance Tracking module. The rest of the ERP (student and staff records, fees, etc.) may come later, but for this phase I only need the attendance component delivered, cleanly coded and ready to plug into the broader system.

Here is what I need you to create:

• A web-based interface where teachers can take class attendance through digital registers.
• Fast search / filter so staff can pull up any class or individual student for the day.
• Admin dashboard with daily, weekly and term-wise attendance analytics plus export to CSV/PDF.
• Role-based access (teacher, admin, parent view).
• Simple import utility so I can preload student lists from a CSV.
• Clear setup instructions so I can deploy on a LAMP/LEMP stack or a standard cloud VM.

Attendance will be entered manually—no RFID or biometric hardware at this stage—so focus on usability: quick toggles, bulk present/absent buttons and minimal page reloads.

Acceptance criteria
1. Codebase installs locally with one command and boots without errors.
2. Teacher can mark an entire class in under 30 seconds.
3. Reports accurately reflect data down to individual period level.
4. User roles prevent a teacher from seeing another teacher’s classes.
5. Source is documented well enough for another developer to extend.
