Project title: Grant writer needed to fund the core delivery gap for a youth careers programme in London schools

About us
AA Educates is a South London community interest company founded in 2020 to bridge the gap between education and opportunity for underserved young people. We run Shaping Futures, a 12 week careers and skills programme delivered directly into schools and colleges across Lambeth and Southwark. It builds confidence, resilience and ambition, and connects students with real employers. We have supported over 3,000 young people. Our latest cohort of Year 10 girls all completed the programme, and every girl’s motivation score rose.

The problem we need to solve
It costs us £2,300 to deliver one Shaping Futures module to a cohort of up to 30 students, which is about £77 per student. The state schools we work with can only afford £875 per cohort, which is about 38% of the cost. That leaves a core cost gap of £1,425 per cohort, or about £47.50 per student. For every 10 cohorts the gap is £14,250. We need unrestricted or core funding to close it, so that schools with the least money can still access the programme.

What we need from you

Funder research: a prioritised shortlist of 15 to 20 realistic UK funders for youth employability, education and aspiration work in London. Include trusts, foundations, corporate funders and local authority sources, with deadlines, typical award sizes and eligibility. Please check each one funds community interest companies.
A master case for support: a clear 2 to 3 page document and budget narrative that explains the gap, the outcomes and the cost per student, ready to adapt for each application.
Applications: draft and submit 2 to 3 applications to the highest priority funders, with final review by our founder.
A funder calendar so we can plan the next 12 months of bids.
