# GPS / IoT Developer – Kafka & Targa Telematics Integration

We are looking for an experienced **IoT / GPS / Backend Developer** to complete an integration between our GPS fleet management system and **Targa Telematics / SEASPA Real Time**.

### Project scope

Our system manages GPS data from vehicles operating at airports. We need to send real-time vehicle data to Targa Telematics according to their technical specifications.

The integration requires:

* **JSON data generation**
* GPS tracking every **max. 10 seconds**
* Events: **KEYON, KEYOFF, TRACKING**
* **Geofencing**: send tracking data only when vehicles are inside the airport Air Side perimeter
* **Kafka-to-Kafka integration**
* Kafka Producer configuration
* Secure connection using **certificates / CSR**
* Error handling, reconnection and logging
* Testing and end-to-end validation with Targa Telematics

Targa Telematics will provide the technical specifications, JSON examples and Kafka configuration requirements.

### Additional tasks

The developer will also assist with:

* Vehicle/master data configuration
* Vehicle activation/deactivation procedures
* Technical documentation
* Final testing and troubleshooting with Targa Telematics

### Required experience

Strong practical experience with:

* **Apache Kafka**
* **JSON / backend integrations**
* **GPS / telematics / IoT**
* Real-time data processing
* **Geofencing**
* TLS certificates / CSR
* Linux/server environments

Experience with **fleet management or GPS integrations is a strong plus**.

### Deliverable

A **fully working and tested production integration** between our GPS platform and Targa Telematics / SEASPA Real Time.
