For the expansion of our international Digital Technology team, argenx is looking for a Global DT Lead Development.
PURPOSE OF THE FUNCTION
This role will act as the strategic technology leader and primary business partner for Development capabilities within Digital Technology. It is accountable for defining and executing the technology vision, roadmap, and value delivery that enable clinical development, trial execution, and data-driven decision-making across the portfolio.
The Global DT Lead Development translates scientific and operational development needs into a scalable and future-fit digital ecosystem. This role drives innovation, ensures regulatory-compliant solutions, and champions co-creation to accelerate the delivery of therapies to patients.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Define the technology vision and multi-year roadmap for Development in alignment with R&D and clinical strategy

Act as the strategic interface between DT and Development leadership, ensuring strong alignment on priorities and outcomes

Govern the portfolio of Development technology initiatives, from ideation and prioritization to value realization and benefit tracking

Lead the delivery of a coherent digital ecosystem supporting clinical trials, data platforms, and Development operations

Act as senior advisor on Development technologies (e.g., clinical systems, data platforms), translating complex scientific and operational needs into scalable solutions

Ensure all solutions meet regulatory requirements (e.g., GxP, data integrity, validation) and adhere to quality standards

Drive innovation and continuous improvement in Development processes through digital capabilities and data leverage

Foster strong cross-functional collaboration across Development, Data, Regulatory, Quality, and external partners

Lead complex programs and manage dependencies across a global and matrixed environment

Champion a culture of co-creation, accountability, and outcomes-driven delivery within the DT Development capability

Build, lead and develop a high-performing global dt development team, including talent development, performance management, and succession planning

Shape and embed the operating model for development within the dt organization (ways of working, governance, value tracking)

Build and maintain strategic partnerships with development technology vendors, ensuring a deep understanding of their capabilities, product roadmaps, and innovation agendas to inform technology decisions and maximize business value.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Deep understanding of clinical development processes, including clinical trials, study execution, and regulatory requirements

Strong experience with Development-related platforms (e.g., clinical systems, data platforms, analytics environments)

Proven ability to define and execute multi-year technology strategies and roadmaps in a complex, regulated environment

Strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex scientific and operational challenges into actionable technology solutions

Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leadership in global organizations

Ability to operate in a high level of ambiguity and drive clarity, alignment, and decisions

Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional, global teams, fostering collaboration and accountability

Excellent communication and influencing skills in a multi-cultural environment

Strong focus on outcomes, value realization, and continuous improvement

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE

Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

10+ years of experience in Digital Technology / IT within a biopharmaceutical or life sciences environment

Strong experience supporting Clinical Development, R&D, or related GxP-regulated domains

Proven track record in leading large-scale technology portfolios and transformation programs

Experience working with senior stakeholders in Development, R&D, or Clinical Operations within a global organization

Strong people leadership capabilities, with experience building and scaling global teams

Ability to work collaboratively and effectively together within cross-functional teams and networks

Demonstrated communication skills, within a multi-cultural and multi-lingual global environment

Derives energy from operating in a dynamic, complex, fast-moving, and frequently changing business environment

Demonstrable experience with project management, proactive planning, priority setting, and securing alignment
