PROJECT TITLE
Geometric / 3D Identity Designer - Borromean + Möbius Logo Concept for Technology Office

PROJECT OVERVIEW
We are looking for a senior identity designer / 3D geometric designer to turn an exploratory set of logo studies into a coherent, mathematically credible mark for a technology office. This is not a request to polish one AI-generated image. The assignment is to synthesize the useful ideas, correct the topology, and build an original system that can exist as both a compelling 3D object and a simplified 2D identity.

THE CORE DESIGN CHALLENGE
The symbol should be built from three components with the genuine Borromean property: the three are collectively linked, but no two are linked by themselves. If any one component is cut or removed, the other two must separate. The over/under crossings need to be deliberate: from a useful viewing direction, each component should pass above one other component at both crossings and below the remaining component at both crossings, creating a cyclic / Escher-like relationship.

We also want to explore Möbius-strip geometry. A current physical model turns one component into a Möbius strip, and leadership has suggested that perhaps all three could be Möbius strips. The designer should test whether one, two, or all three components can use Möbius geometry without losing the Borromean relationship or the clarity of the identity.

MEANING / STORY
The three components may conceptually represent three thrust areas: AI, Cyber, and Complex Systems. They should not be labeled or illustrated literally. The overall object should feel like one integrated information-processing system.

The letters I, P, and T should be discoverable on a second look through seams, lighting, negative space, line density, surface pattern, or selective color. Avoid placing obvious letters on top of the object. The O may remain implicit in the circular collective form / rings / office as a whole rather than adding a fourth ring.

REFERENCE IDEAS TO CARRY FORWARD
- 1D: still liked. Preserve the single-system / string-tension intelligence and use it as a way to create subtle letter highlights.
- 3D: liked. Push toward thick film / annular surfaces with useful seams and multi-angle coherence.
- 2B2: some aspects are useful, especially differentiated technical languages, but the topology shown is not truly Borromean and must be rebuilt.
- P03 and P19: liked as visual fragments; no specific element was mandated.
- P17: liked somewhat, but less because it is a single curve rather than three genuinely Borromean components.
- P29: important structural cue - a thick full circular plane with the center punched out.

SURFACE / INFORMATION-LANGUAGE EXPLORATION
Leadership suggested that the broad surfaces of the rings could carry different information languages. Please explore these as abstract structural patterns rather than literal icons:
- string / spiral tension networks
- flock / collective-motion behavior
- slime-mold / emergent-network behavior
- bits / binary fields
- circuit diagrams / logic traces
- Game of Life / cellular automata

One possible approach is to use three languages on one side and three on the reverse, so rotation becomes part of the discovery. This is an exploration target, not a mandatory final solution.

3D / SOAP-FILM / PROJECTION EXPLORATION
- Favor thick annular or film-like surfaces over thin wire rings where possible.
- Explore soap-film / minimal-surface seams. A subtle pentagonal center may be tested, but it should not become a literal Pentagon icon.
- Use lighting or selective color to create 1D-like I/P/T highlights across the surfaces and seams.
- Explore one projection study in which an unseen light casts a shadow/pattern below the object that resolves into a combined shape and/or circular O.
- The object should remain coherent from multiple viewpoints and should be shown rotating.

VISUAL STYLE / BRAND CONSTRAINTS
Geometric, mathematically elegant, computational, technically credible, and institutional. Experimental is welcome, but the final mark should not look like a gaming/esports logo. The IPTO palette to test is #38495E, #5A789A, and #829EBE. The final concept must also work in monochrome and grayscale.

Avoid: generic three-ring chains, topology that only appears Borromean from one screenshot, four obvious letters, stock circuit textures, overly glossy chrome renders, literal technology icons, literal Pentagon imagery, or decorative complexity that cannot simplify to a strong vector mark.

REQUIRED DELIVERABLES
1. Topology / construction sheet validating the Borromean relationship.
2. Three initial concept directions, all topologically correct, varying Möbius treatment, surface treatment, and hidden-letter strategy.
3. Two refined directions after feedback, each shown from multiple 3D viewpoints and as a simplified 2D vector identity.
4. One selected final concept in primary color, limited color, monochrome, reversed/knockout, and grayscale.
5. AI, SVG, EPS, PDF, and high-resolution transparent PNG files.
6. Editable 3D source file plus OBJ/FBX/GLB export where practical.
7. Simple 360-degree turntable animation (MP4 or GIF).
8. One optional projection / shadow study.
9. One-page design rationale explaining topology, three-thrust story, Möbius logic, hidden-letter strategy, and 2D simplification.

SUGGESTED MILESTONES
1. Topology validation + rough forms: 3 structural directions.
2. Visual-language development: surfaces, seams, hidden I/P/T.
3. Refinement: downselect to 2 concept families with multi-angle 3D + 2D tests.
4. Finalization: selected concept, vector system, 3D source, turntable, grayscale/small-size validation.

IDEAL DESIGNER
This is best suited to a designer who combines brand identity with geometric / 3D construction. Strong candidates may work in Illustrator plus Blender, Rhino/Grasshopper, Houdini, Cinema 4D, or similar. Experience with knot theory, topology, parametric design, generative systems, mathematical visualization, or information design is a major plus.

PLEASE INCLUDE IN YOUR PROPOSAL
- 2-4 relevant examples of identity, geometric, parametric, mathematical, or 3D symbol work.
- How you would validate that the final geometry is truly Borromean.
- What tools you would use for the 3D master and 2D vector reduction.
- Whether you are comfortable exploring Möbius-strip geometry while preserving the required three-way relationship.
- Your proposed timeline / milestone cadence.
- Confirmation that the final work will be original and fully editable, not dependent on stock logo assets or a non-editable AI raster.

IMPORTANT
The supplied concept images are references for direction and discussion, not final logos to trace. The commissioned work should be an original designer-built solution with correct geometry and editable source files.
