I need a full-scale web marketplace that mirrors the core experience of India’s GEM portal and MP Tender, covering both buyer and seller workflows in a single, seamless system.
Buyer journey
The front end must let buyers quickly search and filter the catalogue, line-up multiple items to compare specifications and pricing side-by-side, then track every order from placement to delivery through a clean dashboard. Speed and accuracy of search results are critical, so please propose the stack or indexing solution you trust most (Elasticsearch, Algolia, or your proven equivalent).
Seller workspace
Sellers should be able to log in and manage product listings end-to-end—add, edit, suspend, or delete SKUs—and reply to buyer questions in-app. Helpful extras such as sales reporting can come later, so keep the architecture open for that module.
Security & access
All user roles (buyer, seller, admin) must be protected with mandatory two-factor authentication. Please outline whether you will rely on TOTP, SMS, or an authenticator-app flow.
Tech expectations & deliverables
• Fully responsive web app (React, Vue, or Angular front end; Node, Laravel, Django, or similar back end—state your preference).
• REST or GraphQL API documented for future mobile use.
• SQL or NoSQL database schema handed over with ERD.
• Admin panel for user, order, and content moderation.
• Deployment scripts/Docker files and a short hand-off guide.
Acceptance criteria
The build will be considered complete when buyers can:
