# Full-Time UI/UX & Graphic Designer
**Figma + Adobe Illustrator**
**Remote | 2–3 Years of Experience | Long-Term Position**
Most designers can make something look polished.
Far fewer can create a usable interface, maintain a real design system, prepare files developers can actually build, and produce brand graphics that do not look like recycled templates.
That is the difference between decoration and design.
Production Connections is hiring a **full-time UI/UX and Graphic Designer** who can handle digital product design in Figma while also producing professional vector graphics and brand assets in Adobe Illustrator.
This is a long-term position.
Not a temporary logo project. Not occasional freelance overflow. Not something you squeeze between several other full-time clients.
You will work across websites, mobile applications, internal platforms, client dashboards, marketing assets, advertisements, brand systems, and other active Production Connections projects.
## Position Details
**Company:** Production Connections
**Employment Type:** Full-Time
**Experience Required:** 2–3 Years
**Compensation:** Based on experience, portfolio quality, and technical ability
**Working Hours:** 8:00 AM–5:00 PM U.S. Eastern Time
**Location:** Remote
**Platform:** Freelancer.com
## What You Will Be Responsible For
### UI/UX Design in Figma
* Design responsive websites, mobile applications, dashboards, portals, and internal software interfaces
* Turn project requirements into wireframes, user flows, page structures, and high-fidelity designs
* Convert business objectives into interfaces that are clear, usable, and commercially effective
* Create desktop, tablet, and mobile layouts
* Build clickable prototypes for demonstrations, reviews, and user-flow testing
* Create and maintain reusable Figma components, variants, variables, styles, and design systems
* Use Auto Layout correctly instead of manually positioning every element
* Design complete interface states, including loading, empty, error, success, disabled, hover, and active states
* Maintain consistent spacing, typography, hierarchy, color usage, and interaction patterns
* Prepare organized Figma files that developers can understand without conducting an archaeological excavation
* Provide accurate developer handoffs, specifications, assets, and implementation notes
* Review completed development work and identify visual or usability differences from the approved design
* Collaborate with Flutter developers, WordPress developers, backend developers, marketers, and project leadership
* Improve existing interfaces when the current design creates confusion, friction, or unnecessary steps
### Graphic Design in Adobe Illustrator
* Create vector graphics, illustrations, icons, logos, diagrams, and brand elements
* Design marketing materials for digital and print use
* Produce social media graphics, display advertisements, presentation assets, brochures, flyers, and branded documents
* Develop visual assets that follow established brand standards
* Convert rough concepts into clean, professional artwork
* Prepare artwork correctly for websites, applications, social platforms, digital advertising, and commercial printing
* Create scalable SVG, EPS, PDF, and other production-ready files
* Maintain organized layers, artboards, naming conventions, and editable source files
* Ensure final artwork remains consistent across different sizes, formats, and platforms
## Required Experience
* **2–3 years of professional UI/UX or digital product design experience**
* Strong portfolio demonstrating both Figma interface design and Adobe Illustrator work
* Advanced working knowledge of Figma
* Strong Adobe Illustrator skills
* Experience creating responsive website and mobile application designs
* Experience building components, variants, Auto Layout systems, and reusable design libraries
* Understanding of user flows, wireframing, prototyping, and interface hierarchy
* Strong understanding of typography, spacing, grids, color systems, and visual balance
* Ability to design for desktop, tablet, Android, and iOS experiences
* Understanding of accessibility and usability fundamentals
* Experience preparing files and assets for developer handoff
* Ability to accept feedback without defending weak design decisions
* Ability to explain the reasoning behind important design choices
* Strong attention to detail
* Clear written communication
* Reliable internet access and dependable availability
* Ability to work full-time during U.S. Eastern Time business hours
Experience with Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, motion design, branding, print production, or conversion-focused website design is an advantage.
## What We Are Looking For
The right designer must be able to operate across both sides of the role.
### UI/UX
**Understand → Structure → Wireframe → Design → Prototype → Hand Off → Review**
### Graphic Design
**Interpret → Conceptualize → Create → Refine → Prepare → Deliver**
You should understand that attractive design and effective design are not automatically the same thing.
A screen can look impressive and still be confusing.
A logo can look clean and still be forgettable.
A Figma file can look organized from a distance and still collapse the moment a developer tries to use it.
We need someone who can create work that survives contact with development, users, clients, and actual business requirements.
## What We Are Not Looking For
Do not apply if your portfolio consists primarily of templates you modified.
Do not apply if your entire design process depends on Canva.
Do not apply if your Figma files are filled with unnamed layers, detached components, inconsistent spacing, and manually positioned rectangles.
Do not apply if you can make one attractive screen but cannot design the complete user journey around it.
Do not apply if you ignore mobile layouts until the end of the project.
Do not apply if you design interfaces without considering how they will actually be developed.
Do not apply if every graphic you produce looks like it came from a different company.
Do not apply if you disappear when revisions become detailed or technically difficult.
Do not apply if you are already working several full-time jobs and cannot provide dedicated availability.
We are not hiring someone to make things “look nice.”
We are hiring someone who can create visual systems that are usable, consistent, scalable, and ready for production.
## Schedule Requirement
This position requires full-time availability from **8:00 AM to 5:00 PM U.S. Eastern Time**.
Your availability during these hours is not optional.
Apply only if you can consistently work the required schedule, communicate during working hours, and commit to a serious long-term role.
## How to Apply
Begin your proposal with the word:
**FIGMA**
Then include the following:
1. Your total years of professional UI/UX and graphic design experience
2. A direct link to your portfolio
3. Links to 3–5 Figma projects you personally designed
4. A clear explanation of what you personally handled on each project
5. Examples of vector graphics, illustrations, logos, or brand assets created in Adobe Illustrator
6. Your experience creating responsive web and mobile application designs
7. Your experience with Figma components, variants, Auto Layout, variables, and design systems
8. How you approach a new UI/UX project before beginning the high-fidelity design
9. How you prepare Figma files for developer handoff
10. One difficult UI/UX or graphic design problem you personally solved
11. Your experience working with developers and reviewing implemented designs
12. The Adobe and design applications you use regularly
13. Your current location, time zone, and availability
14. Your expected monthly compensation
15. Confirmation that you can work full-time from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM U.S. Eastern Time
Generic applications will be ignored.
Production Connections is not hiring someone who simply knows where the design tools are.
We are hiring a designer who can turn complicated requirements into clear interfaces, build visual systems developers can use, and create brand assets that do not look like everyone else’s recycled garbage.
