Full-Stack Developer – SaaS Platform Integration (React, Node.js, C#)

Project Overview

We are developing a SaaS, consisting of three main components:

- Web Application: React and TypeScript
- Backend API: Node.js, Express, and PostgreSQL
- Windows Desktop Application: C# and WinUI 3

Our goal is to create an integrated platform where users can access the same accounts, projects, and tasks through both the web application and the Windows desktop application.

The project is already underway. We need a developer who can help connect these components, improve existing functionality, and support development across the application.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain backend APIs using Node.js and Express.
- Integrate frontend and backend functionality through REST APIs.
- Help connect the Windows desktop application to backend services.
- Read, understand, and make basic modifications to existing C# code.
- Assist with troubleshooting issues involving API communication, authentication, and data synchronization.
- Work with PostgreSQL and help investigate database-related issues.
- Collaborate with our React developer and other team members.
- Test changes and document important technical findings.

Required Skills

- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with Node.js and REST API development.
- Familiarity with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Working knowledge of C# and .NET.
- Ability to read and understand an existing C# codebase.
- Basic familiarity with Windows desktop application development.
- Experience using Git and collaborating with other developers.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Budget & Schedule
- Hourly Rate: $55 USD
- Minimum 4 hours per day
- Monday through Friday
- Minimum 20 hours per week
- Expected Weekly Budget: $900
- Long-term project with ongoing development opportunities.

Preferred Skills

- Previous experience with WinUI 3 or Windows App SDK.
- Experience integrating desktop applications with REST APIs.
- Familiarity with authentication, user accounts, and subscription-based SaaS applications.
- Experience with React and TypeScript.
- Experience debugging applications that share data between web and desktop clients.

Note: You do not need to be a WinUI 3 specialist. However, you should be comfortable reading C# code and making straightforward modifications when necessary.

Working Arrangement

- Long-term project with an expected overall development period of approximately six months.
- Part-time or full-time engagement, depending on availability and project needs.
- We prefer a developer who can work consistently each week and collaborate with the existing development team.
- Work will be managed through Git and clearly defined tasks.
- The project scope and remaining work will be reviewed before responsibilities are finalized.
