I need a licensed engineer registered in Québec to size and detail a small concrete basement that will anchor a series of aluminium trusses. The site sits on compacted gravel, and our prime concern is ice and frost heaving during winter. I’m leaning toward a traditional steel-rebar reinforcement layout and want the design to comply with both the Québec Construction Code and CSA A23.3.
Scope
• Determine the required footing depth below the frost line, wall thickness, and slab specifications.
• Provide concrete mix recommendations, insulation strategy, and all rebar schedules.
• Supply stamped structural calculations and construction drawings (PDF + DWG) ready for permit submission.
Acceptance
All documents must carry your Québec engineer’s seal, clearly address frost-heave mitigation in gravel soil, and specify the exact rebar spacing and cover.
