Looking for a qualified structural engineer to inspect the foundation of a home currently under contract for purchase. A home inspection noted some evidence of settlement/movement, including a beam pocket on the west side of the home that has popped and some cracking.
I would like an independent evaluation to determine whether these conditions appear to be older, stabilized settlement typical of the age of the home, or evidence of ongoing structural movement that requires repair.
I would also like recommendations for any repairs or corrective measures that may be necessary, along with an assessment of the overall structural condition of the foundation.
On-site inspection in Junction City, Kansas is required.
