I want to refresh our job design so that it genuinely supports employees who work outside the office. My immediate focus is the work environment, zeroing in on remote-work options, and in particular building a structure that offers truly flexible working hours.

The assignment is straightforward: analyse the way we currently schedule and manage remote staff, identify the friction points, then craft a practical framework that lets people choose when they work while still meeting team and client expectations. I need a concise set of policies and guidelines any manager can follow, an outline of the tools or processes that keep everyone aligned (think Slack, Teams, Notion or similar), and clear metrics to confirm the change is raising satisfaction rather than hurting delivery.

Deliverables
• A remote-work flexibility policy document ready for leadership sign-off
• A step-by-step rollout plan with communication templates for managers and HR
• Recommendations on scheduling, availability windows and asynchronous collaboration tools
• Simple KPIs or survey questions we can track to prove the new system is working

Acceptance criteria: the policy must comply with local labour laws, keep total weekly hours within contract limits, and allow at least a two-hour overlap per day for real-time collaboration.

If you have designed similar frameworks before and can point to measurable gains in engagement or retention, that will carry a lot of weight in my decision.
