I have two Lenovo Yoga C940-14IIL laptops whose built-in keyboard and touchpad go dead the moment Windows finishes loading, and the on-screen touch keyboard responds as well. I chose “Laptop Repair Troubleshooting” because I suspect the fault sits somewhere between Windows drivers, HID services, or a lingering tablet-mode flag rather than a physical failure, but I need someone who can confirm or disprove that quickly.

So far I have:
• rolled back recent Windows updates and drivers
• tried forcing the machine out of tablet mode
• confirmed the devices are enabled in BIOS

Beyond that, I’m not sure whether the OS is fully up to date, and I haven’t dug into every keyboard/trackpad setting inside Windows.

The job
– Connect remotely (I can provide AnyDesk or your preferred secure tool).
– Diagnose and restore normal keyboard and touchpad operation in Windows on one machines
– Document the exact steps or driver packages you use so I can repeat the process on the other. Including steps to keep from recurring.

Acceptance criteria
• Built-in keyboard and touchpad respond in Windows without needing external peripherals.
• Clear, step-by-step notes delivered.

The laptops are worth about $300 each, so I’ve capped the effort at $50 total; if that sounds fair and you’re confident you can pin this down—whether it’s a stubborn driver, HID service, or a Windows corruption—let’s set up the remote session and get started. Note, I cannot spend a length time at the laptop with you.
