We are looking for an experienced Accessories / Handbag Technical Designer to develop a factory-ready tech pack for a minimalist, structured everyday office tote bag.
This bag is built for daily commuting professionals and students carrying a 13–14" laptop. The design emphasizes clean lines, an upright architectural posture (zero sagging), and practical commute utilities.
You will translate our established dimensions, functional interior layout, and material constraints into a clear technical specification packet that a pattern master and factory can cut and stitch with zero ambiguity.
Key Deliverables Required
Orthographic Technical Drawings (Vector/CAD):
Dimensioned Front, Back, Side Gusset, Bottom Base, and Top-Down views.
Exact callouts for seams, topstitching line placements, and edge-finish details.
Internal Architecture & Cross-Section View:
Laptop Compartment: Padded slot engineered for 13" and 14" laptops with an elastic security strap.
Bottle Holster: Integrated vertical elastic retention sleeve on the inner side gusset to secure a 500–750 ml slim bottle/flask upright.
Concealed Back Pocket: Exterior hidden zipper pocket on the back body panel sized for transit/metro cards and keys.
Internal Organization: Light-colored interior lining layout with 2 slip pockets (phone/pens) and 1 interior zip pocket.
Strap & Construction Engineering:
Dual shoulder handles with a 10" vertical drop (optimized to sit comfortably over blazers/coats).
Padded handle core design (internal EVA/cushioned tape) to prevent shoulder digging under laptop weight.
Box-X or reinforced rivet anchor specs at load points.
Bill of Materials (BOM) & Assembly Guidelines:
Material spec callouts: 0.8–1.0 mm textured synthetic/Semi-PU shell, internal 1.5–2.0 mm EVA panel stiffeners, reinforced bottom shank/salpa board, and high-contrast interior polyester lining.
Hardware specification: #5 nylon coil zippers, metal sliders, and 4 protective base stud feet.
Edge finishing details (folded seams vs. edge-ink sealing).
