This isn't a traditional admin support role. We're looking for someone who wants to be in the room — operating at the center of the business, working directly and candidly with the CEO, and becoming part of the inner circle over time. You'll start with core executive support, but the ceiling here is high. The right person won't just manage a calendar — they'll be pulled into real decisions, blunt conversations, half-formed ideas, and the messy stuff that never makes it into a job description. You need to be able to travel and follow the CEO.
"You need to be very open and forward and willing to anything to get the job"
This role runs on trust and directness, not formality. The CEO needs someone they can think out loud with, vent to, debate with, and say "what do you actually think" to — and get a real answer. If you're the kind of person who's naturally direct, unbothered by hierarchy, and good at reading a room and a person, this is built for you.
We want someone who isn't afraid to speak and has a very open mind, will do anything to get the job and experience more in life.
Core Responsibilities
================================
- Executive Support
- Manage the CEO's calendar, email triage, and travel with full ownership — anticipating conflicts before they happen
- Prepare briefing documents, meeting agendas, and follow-up notes
- Handle confidential information with total discretion
Operating Rhythm
================================
- Track action items across leadership meetings and hold people (including the CEO) accountable to deadlines
- Own internal communications the CEO needs to send but doesn't have time to draft
- Coordinate board meeting logistics and materials
Beyond the Role
================================
- Act as a sounding board — the CEO should be able to think out loud with you and get an honest, unfiltered reaction, not just agreement
- Be someone the CEO can talk to about anything relevant to running the business — strategy, people problems, doubts, half-baked ideas — without it feeling scripted or overly formal
- Sit in on strategic conversations and contribute a real point of view, not just take notes
- Take on ad hoc projects that don't have an obvious owner — research, vendor evaluation, special initiatives
- Identify inefficiencies in how the CEO (and by extension, the company) operates, and propose fixes proactively
- Build enough context on the business that you can make good judgment calls independently, without needing everything spelled out
- Earn a level of trust where the relationship feels more like a close working partnership than a boss/assistant dynamic
What We're Looking For
================================
- Open and forward, talk about anything, do anything to get the job attitude
- 3+ years in an EA, chief of staff, or similarly high-trust support role
- Sharp written and verbal communication — comfortable drafting on the CEO's behalf and in their voice
- Low ego, high ownership — willing to do both the glamorous and unglamorous work
- Genuinely curious about the business, not just the tasks
- Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities
- Discretion and judgment around sensitive/confidential information is non-negotiable
- Bonus: prior experience in a small or fast-moving company where roles aren't rigidly defined
What Success Looks Like
================================
- The CEO trusts you with things they wouldn't hand to most people in the building
- You're seen as a force multiplier, not just a scheduler
- Over time, your responsibilities expand based on demonstrated judgment — this role can evolve toward chief of staff or operations as trust builds
