I have an existing Excel workbook that acts as a data-entry form. Users will type in text, numbers, and dates, then click a button; at that point I need everything on the sheet to be packaged and sent out automatically by email—no manual copy-and-paste, no saving attachments by hand.
Here’s what matters to me:
• The sheet’s sole job is data entry, so the process must stay quick and user-friendly.
• All three data types—text, numerical values, and dates—must retain their formatting when they reach the recipient.
• Submission must happen through the default mail client (Outlook) or another approach you recommend, as long as the end result is a clean email in the inbox.
Your solution can be a VBA macro, a lightweight add-in, or any other method you find reliable; I just need it to be easy for non-technical staff to use. Error handling, minimal security prompts, and clear comments in the code are important so we can tweak things later if a field name changes.
Deliverable: a working Excel file (or add-in) with the automated email routine fully integrated and tested on one of my sample entries.
