Excel Data Cleaning & Formatting

I have a customer database of fewer than 1,000 rows that needs a careful refresh in Excel. The most critical task is standardising every name and date so they follow a single, consistent format. Alongside that, I want duplicate records removed, spelling and other formatting errors corrected, extra spaces trimmed, blanks handled sensibly, and the entire sheet reorganised so filters and pivot tables work smoothly.

To keep the process transparent, I need an audit sheet in the same workbook that logs each adjustment: original value, cleaned value, and the type of change applied. If you prefer Power Query or a quick VBA routine to speed things up, that’s fine—as long as the final workbook opens cleanly in native Excel without external dependencies.
