I’m holding 125 detailed 2024 bills, each already in Excel. What I need is a tidy, analysis-ready workbook rather than a pile of mismatched sheets.
Here’s the flow I have in mind. First, standardise column headers and data formats so every bill follows one structure. Then assign two layers of organisation: a broad “bill type” category and, within that, clear tags for the exact Date, Amount, and Vendor/Issuer. Where data is missing or inconsistent, flag it visibly so I can verify later.
Once everything is categorised, build a master summary sheet that pulls the key figures at a glance—totals by type, high-value items, and any other insights you think would speed month-end checks. A dashboard, pivot table, or slicer setup is welcome if it keeps the file lightweight and easy for me to refresh.
Deliverables
• Cleaned source worksheets with uniform formatting
• A dedicated column for Type plus separate Date, Amount and Vendor/Issuer fields
• A single summary sheet (or pivot dashboard) showing roll-ups and quick filters
I work exclusively in Microsoft 365, so compatibility there is essential. Once handed over, I should be able to update the file or add new bills without breaking formulas or links. Let’s focus on clarity, traceability, and a professional finish.
