I need the **ESP32-S3 development/programming section of a larger motherboard** designed in **DipTrace**.
The freelancer is **only responsible for the ESP32 development-board circuitry**. I will design and add all other circuitry on the motherboard myself.
The ESP32 section should expose **as many usable GPIO/I/O connections as reasonably possible**, so I can connect them to my own circuitry later.
### Main requirements
* **ESP32-S3-WROOM-1U-N8** module with external antenna connector
* **CH340** USB-to-serial for programming
* **USB-C connector:** GCT USB4105-GF-A (Mouser 640-USB4105-GF-A)
* Automatic programming/reset using **DTR/RTS**, so firmware can normally be uploaded without holding the BOOT button
* Physical **BOOT and RESET buttons**
* Two clearly labeled pads for an **external momentary RESET button**
* Appropriate **3.3 V regulator** and normal ESP32 support circuitry
* Expose **as many usable ESP32 GPIO pins as possible**, plus power and GND, for connection to circuitry I will add later
* PCB must be **2-layer only — no 4-layer or multilayer design**
* **All SMT resistors and capacitors must be 0805 or larger** — no 0603/0402 passives
* Avoid unnecessarily small packages where practical, as I may occasionally hand-place or repair components
* USB is mainly for programming/service; no USB-PD or USB 3.x circuitry is required
* Use **commonly available components**, preferably parts readily available from Mouser/DigiKey and Chinese suppliers
### Deliverables
* Complete editable **DipTrace schematic**
* Complete editable **DipTrace PCB layout**
* BOM with manufacturer part numbers
* Gerber and manufacturing files
This should be a **simple, practical and serviceable ESP32-S3 section** that I can incorporate into and continue developing as part of my larger motherboard design.
