I have a popular children’s story-projector toy and want to turn it into an open, re-programmable platform. The factory PCB will be removed and replaced by an ESP32 that drives a DFPlayer Mini for sound and an NFC reader for quick selection of content.

What I need from you
• A working prototype motherboard (ESP32-based) that fits the toy’s existing space and re-uses its buttons, speaker, LEDs and motor.
• Firmware that lets me load both audio tracks and image discs of my choosing. Audio format is flexible—MP3, WAV or AAC all work.
• When a tagged card is tapped, it must immediately switch to the matching image set; audio can follow a playlist or stay silent depending on a flag in firmware.
• Simple serial or Wi-Fi interface for uploading new files and mapping NFC UIDs to content.
• Full documentation: schematic, PCB files, pinout, firmware source, and a short “how-to-add-more-content” guide.

Acceptance
Power up, tap an NFC card, the projector advances to the right image disc and plays the linked track with clean audio and stable illumination.

I’m aiming for a long-term collaboration to polish the concept after this first build, and it would be great if you are already based in Romania for easier shipping and testing, but I’m open to remote talent that can deliver a rock-solid prototype.
