I run a San Francisco–based habitat-restoration company and need an organised, tech-savvy hand for about 20 hours each week. The heartbeat of the job is keeping our timecards and payroll straight: you’ll pull field hours from QuickBooks, push them into ADP, cross-check labour-compliance data in LCP Tracker, and flag discrepancies before they reach the crew.
Around that core responsibility, you’ll keep our many small but critical wheels turning—renewing insurance certificates on schedule, tracking the status of several concurrent contracts, ordering safety gear and native-plant supplies, and touching base with a wide range of clients that includes municipal and state agencies. Clear, confident email and phone communication is a must.
Our website needs only light care right now; I’ll count on you to log in once or twice a week and refresh content such as new project photos, volunteer-day announcements, or blog posts. If you happen to shoot and edit short videos, great—we can finally give our social channels some love.
We’ll meet in person in the city most weeks to hash out proposals, swap paperwork, and plan upcoming field work, so being Bay-Area local is important.
Key deliverables
• Weekly ADP payroll submitted with reconciled QuickBooks hours
• Up-to-date LCP Tracker records for each active contract
• Current insurance, licences, and vendor accounts on file
• Fresh web content posted by Friday each week
Tools in play: ADP Workforce Now, QuickBooks Online, Google Workspace, LCP Tracker, and WordPress. If those are already second nature—or you’re a fast learner who loves the outdoors—let’s talk.
