Add Push Notification, Live Location, Employee Chat, Voice & Video Calling to Existing Android Attendance App

Project Description

I already have a working Attendance Web App + Android App with complete source code.

Current technology includes:

- React
- TypeScript
- Capacitor Android
- Backend/API
- Database
- Existing employee/admin attendance system

I need an experienced developer to add the following new features to the existing system.

This is not a new app development from scratch.

I will provide the existing complete source code to the selected developer.

1. Native Push Notifications

Add a complete Android push-notification system.

Admin should be able to send notifications to:

- Individual employee
- Selected employees
- Team/Department
- All employees

Requirements:

- Notification should work when app is open
- Notification should work in background
- Notification should work when app is closed
- Tapping notification should open the relevant app screen
- Notification history
- Read/Unread status
- Admin sent-notification history

Please mention which technology will be used, such as Firebase Cloud Messaging or another suitable solution.

All accounts/API credentials must be under my ownership.

2. Live Employee Location Tracking

Add background/live location tracking for selected employees.

Requirements:

- Location update approximately every 3–5 minutes
- Tracking should work while screen is locked/backgrounded, subject to Android restrictions
- Battery usage must be optimized as much as technically possible
- Admin can enable/disable tracking employee-wise
- Tracking can start after employee Check-In
- Tracking should stop after employee Check-Out
- Admin can see employee current/last location
- Show location on map
- Show last update date/time
- Maintain location history
- Date-wise movement history/report
- Employee-wise route/history report

Please follow Android/Google Play background-location requirements.

Do not promise completely invisible background tracking if Android requires a foreground notification. The implementation must follow Android rules.

Location data must be stored only in my authorized backend/database.

3. Internal Employee Chat

Add an internal messaging system.

Required:

- One-to-one chat
- Group chat
- Department/team groups
- Admin-created groups
- Text messages
- Photos/images
- Documents/files
- Voice messages
- Message timestamp
- Delivered status
- Read status
- New-message push notification
- Conversation search

Only authorized employees should be able to communicate.

4. Internal Voice Calling

Add employee-to-employee voice calling.

Required:

- Individual voice calls
- Group voice calls
- Incoming call screen/notification
- Accept/Reject
- Mute/Unmute
- Speaker
- Call duration
- Missed calls
- Call history

5. Internal Video Calling

Add video calling within the employee app.

Required:

- Individual video calling
- Group video calling
- Front/Rear camera switching
- Camera On/Off
- Microphone Mute/Unmute
- Speaker
- Incoming call screen
- Accept/Reject
- Call history

Calling Technology

Developer should recommend a reliable solution such as:

- WebRTC
- LiveKit
- Jitsi
- Agora
- Twilio
- 100ms

or another suitable technology.

Before development, clearly mention:

- Technology to be used
- Free/Paid status
- Monthly/usage charges
- Voice/video minute limits
- Maximum group-call participants
- Whether self-hosting is possible
- Whether the service can be changed later

Important Ownership Requirement

I must have 100% ownership and control of:

- Complete source code
- Backend code
- Database
- Android project
- API credentials
- Firebase/project accounts
- Voice/video service accounts
- Signing key
- Configuration files

There must be no dependency on the developer's personal account, domain, server, API key or subscription.

Existing App Must Remain Safe

Developer must:

- Review the existing source first
- Keep all existing attendance features working
- Not remove existing features
- Not change the live production system without approval
- Perform development/testing safely
- Take backup before any approved deployment changes

Final delivery must include:

- Updated complete source code
- Updated Android project
- Testing APK
- Final APK
- Play Store-ready AAB
- All backend/API changes
- Database changes/migrations
- Push-notification configuration
- Voice/video configuration
- Build instructions
- Deployment instructions
