MUST HOLD AN ACTIVE CALIFORNIA PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING LICENSE AND MUST BE ABLE TO SIGN AND STAMP PERMIT DOCUMENTS
We are a licensed general contractor based in Southern California looking to establish an ongoing relationship with a licensed engineer for residential construction projects.
We complete multiple ADUs, home additions, and residential remodeling projects and are looking for an engineer who can take our architectural drawings and develop the required engineering documents for City permit submission.
Scope of Work
- Review architectural plan sets provided by our team
- Prepare structural engineering plans and calculations
- Prepare foundation and framing plans/details as required
- Prepare mechanical/HVAC plans and calculations as required
- Coordinate structural and mechanical engineering with the architectural drawings
- Identify conflicts or missing engineering information
- Prepare permit-ready engineering documents
- Sign and stamp engineering documents for California permit submission
- Respond to City plan-check comments and prepare engineering revisions through approval
- Coordinate with our team when architectural revisions affect engineering
Typical Projects
Our projects primarily consist of:
- Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)
- Detached ADUs
- Garage conversions
- One- and two-story additions
- Home extensions
- Residential structural alterations
- Residential remodels requiring engineering
LICENSE & STAMP REQUIREMENT
YOU MUST HOLD THE APPROPRIATE ACTIVE CALIFORNIA PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND BE LEGALLY ABLE TO SIGN AND STAMP THE ENGINEERING WORK YOU PROVIDE.
IF YOU CANNOT PROVIDE A VALID CALIFORNIA ENGINEERING STAMP FOR PERMIT SUBMITTAL, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY.
When applying, please provide your California license number, engineering discipline(s), examples of residential plan sets, typical turnaround time, pricing structure, experience responding to City plan-check corrections, and availability for recurring projects.
This is intended to become an ongoing relationship with multiple projects, not simply a one-time engineering assignment.
