Django Backend Engineer – Financial Transaction Systems
Hi.

We are looking for a skilled Django/Python Backend Engineer to work on an existing financial application built with Python and Django. The project focuses on improving financial transaction processing, API security, database performance, and overall backend reliability.

You will work with an existing codebase and implement features related to account management, deposits, withdrawals, money transfers, transaction history, and financial reporting.

We need a developer who can understand existing code, solve complex backend problems, and deliver clean, reliable, and well-tested solutions.

- What You'll Work On

* Develop and improve Django REST APIs.
* Implement secure financial transactions and account transfers.
* Ensure data consistency and prevent duplicate transactions.
* Handle database transactions and concurrent requests.
* Implement account balance validation and withdrawal limits.
* Improve API performance and database queries.
* Implement authentication and authorization.
* Maintain transaction logs and audit trails.
* Fix bugs and improve existing functionality.
* Write automated tests and ensure code quality.

- Technical Requirements

* Strong experience with Python and Django.
* Experience with Django REST Framework.
* Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL.
* Understanding of database transactions and concurrency.
* Experience with pytest or Django testing.
* Knowledge of API security and authentication.
* Familiarity with Git and GitHub.

- Nice to Have

* Experience with FinTech or banking applications.
* Knowledge of payment processing and financial ledgers.
* Experience with idempotent APIs.
* Experience with database optimization and performance tuning.

- Project Details

The project is based on an existing GitHub repository. The selected developer will review the codebase and complete the assigned tasks.
