Desktop Form Auto-Filler Tool

I need a lightweight tool that can automatically populate web forms when I browse on my desktop. It must work smoothly on both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge without forcing users to switch browsers.

The ideal outcome is a single installable package—most likely a browser extension—built with standard web-extension APIs (Manifest v3, JavaScript, HTML/CSS). Once installed, it should detect common input fields (name, email, address, etc.) and fill them with data that I can store locally or import via a simple settings panel. No mobile support is required; the focus is strictly desktop environments.

• One-click fill action that respects the page’s existing validations
• Easy data management (import, edit, delete) without exposing information to external servers
• Clean, non-intrusive UI that blends with each browser’s native look

Source code, build instructions, and brief documentation are part of the final deliverable so I can maintain or extend the tool in the future.
