I’m building a native desktop application that functions as a full-featured design tool and I need its entire interface mapped out in Figma. The goal is to deliver an experience that feels as fluid and polished as today’s leading vector and layout editors while remaining lightweight and intuitive for first-time users.
Scope
• Translate my current feature list and rough wireframes into a cohesive UI/UX system.
• Produce high-fidelity screens for the canvas area, layer panel, properties inspector, toolbar, and export dialog, along with onboarding and settings views.
• Create an interactive Figma prototype so I can run usability tests and demonstrate key workflows such as drawing, grouping, text styling, asset management, and real-time collaboration cues.
• Build a reusable component library and style guide that covers colour, typography, iconography, states, and spacing tokens so development can pick it up immediately.
Acceptance Criteria
1. All primary user flows—new document, import, edit, save, export—must be clickable end-to-end in the prototype.
2. Components must rely on Figma Auto-Layout and Variants for easy maintenance.
3. Design passes WCAG AA contrast requirements.
4. Final hand-off includes the .fig file, a short Loom walkthrough, and a changelog of decisions.
I’ll provide a detailed feature matrix and competitor references once we start. If you’ve crafted UI/UX for creative or editing software before and can showcase similar desktop work, I’d love to review it and discuss timelines.
