A new eco-conscious label is gearing up to release its first capsule for children, blending the clean lines of modern minimalism with the soul of classic Indian silhouettes. The focus for this launch is kids’ traditional wear, yet every piece must feel fresh, comfortable and globally relevant.
The job revolves around trend-aware creativity and solid technical execution. Market research will inform colour stories—please apply current colour-technology knowledge to ensure low-impact, child-safe dyes. Silhouette development should respect heritage shapes while streamlining volume for playful movement. Ethical design principles (fabric traceability, waste-minimised pattern work, inclusive sizing) sit at the core of every decision.
What I need from you
• Inspirational mood and trend boards translating “fusion of both” into kids’ festive contexts
• A cohesive mini-range (6–8 outfits) sketched digitally, each with front/back views
• Detailed tech packs: fabric swatches or references, Pantone/TCX codes, trim specs, measurement charts, sustainability notes
Acceptance criteria
• Designs clearly merge minimal aesthetics with recognisable ethnic elements (e.g., pared-back kurta sets, contemporary lehengas)
• Colour palette supports sustainable dyeing practices and remains production-feasible
• Tech packs are ready for sampling and can be followed by a small-scale manufacturer without further clarification
Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or equivalent CAD tools are preferred for flats and tech packs, but I’m open to the software you’re comfortable with as long as files export cleanly to PDF and AI formats.
If translating timeless culture into modern, planet-friendly kidswear excites you, let’s build this collection together.
