Debug Python Script Wrong Output

I have a small Python script that should run on Android’s Pydroid 3 environment, but it is currently throwing a SyntaxError and, when it does run, the results are still off. The error trace you will see starts in iiec_run.py and points to a line full of accidental non-English characters that slipped into the file. After that line is fixed, the script still prints values that don’t match my expectations, so I need a full debug pass rather than just deleting the stray text.

Here’s what I need from you:

• Pinpoint every syntax or runtime issue, remove the stray characters, and make the file importable again.
• Trace the logic so the final output matches the intended calculations (I’ll share a short specification and expected sample output once we start).
• Keep everything compatible with the standard Python 3.11 build bundled in Pydroid 3—no external C extensions, only pure-Python or pip-installable libraries.

Please include a brief note on your relevant debugging experience when you apply. If you can outline a quick plan of attack—tools you use (pdb, pytest, print-style tracing, etc.) and how long the fix should take—that will help me choose faster.

Once we’re done, I expect the cleaned script, a short summary of what was wrong, and any small unit test you used to prove the fix. Thanks!
