I’ve been assigned a tricky maintenance ticket in our Spring MVC / Spring Boot code-base and, as someone still ramping up on Java, I’m stuck tracking down logical errors that sit squarely in the service layer—the part where our business logic lives.
The symptoms: data flows in correctly from the controllers and persists fine through the repositories, yet the results returned to the UI are wrong. Unit tests covering the affected services either fail or pass with unexpected values, so I need a fresh pair of expert eyes to walk through the code with me, isolate the faulty branches, and refactor or rewrite the logic so every scenario behaves as intended.
What I’ll provide
• I can share my screen and follow the steps suggested by you. I can’t provide you code access because of security reason. if possible ww can connect using any chat medium.
What I need from you
• Live or asynchronous debugging support (screenshare or detailed code comments)
• Clean, working service-layer code that solves the business rules in question
• Brief notes on the fix so I can learn from the approach and apply it to future tasks
If you’re comfortable diving into Spring Boot services and have a knack for pinpointing subtle logical flaws, let’s get started right away—I’m eager to ship the patch and understand the “why” behind it.
