Corporate WordPress Redesign & Development

Our current WordPress site works, but it no longer reflects the polished, corporate image we project everywhere else. I want to give it a fresh, modern look and feel while keeping the content structure intact.
Scope of the makeover
The visual language should be clean, professional, and consistent with a corporate brand— user experience should always be the priority. The existing website is quite large with a lot of existing pages and blog content, we are wanting to limit the impact on our existing SEO as much as possible so internal linking etc needs to remain unchanged.
Key areas to tackle
• Homepage layout – a hero section that communicates our value proposition instantly, clearer content blocks, and stronger calls-to-action.
• Navigation menu – simplified information architecture, drop-downs that work seamlessly on desktop and mobile, and sticky behaviour only if it enhances usability.
• Footer design – well-organised links, concise contact details, social icons, and legal notices without clutter.
Technical expectations
The build must stay within WordPress, using either a lightweight premium theme or a custom child theme approach. Core Web Vitals should remain healthy after the redesign. Re-using existing plugins is fine as long as load speed and security are not compromised. Please ensure full responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.1 AA).
Hosting current already in place however, I am open to subscription services like 10web etc.
Deliverables
1. High-fidelity mock-ups for homepage, navigation states, and footer.
2. Fully developed WordPress pages implemented on a staging environment.
3. Final migration to the live server after my sign-off, including a short hand-over guide.
Acceptance criteria
• Visual style aligns with the agreed corporate mood board.
• All page templates render flawlessly on the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and mobile browsers.
• Google PageSpeed Insights scores remain within the “Good” range post-launch.
• No broken links or console errors in the inspector.
Timeline is flexible within reason, but I would like to see first concepts within one week of project start. If you have similar corporate redesigns in your portfolio, please link them when you message me so I can gauge style compatibility.
