I’m looking for a developer who can deliver an end-to-end dash-cam solution that streams live video from a vehicle-mounted camera to our web portal over 4G/5G. The stream must be available through both WebRTC and RTSP so viewers can choose the most suitable protocol without extra plugins.
Core requirements
• Low-latency, secure live view from roughly two simultaneous cameras (the first release should handle ±2 feeds, with clean hooks for future scaling).
• Continuous cloud recording with easy, time-scrubbable playback.
• Real-time GPS location alongside each feed so the map and video stay in sync.
• Robust user access control: role-based log-in, per-camera permissions, password resets, audit logs.
I expect you to handle everything from camera ingestion on the vehicle (encoder settings, network fail-over, token-based auth) through to the browser player, as well as the web portal UI, database, and any microservices needed for transcoding or storage. Familiarity with IoT camera SDKs, TURN/STUN, and adaptive bitrate streaming will be helpful.
Deliverables
1. Working source code for the edge device, backend services, and web portal.
2. Deployment scripts or Docker images so I can stand the system up in our cloud account.
3. Documentation covering architecture, API endpoints, and how to add more cameras later.
4. A short test plan proving live viewing, playback, GPS overlay accuracy, and access control all work over cellular.
Latency under two seconds, encrypted transport (TLS/SRTP), and smooth hand-off between cellular towers are the acceptance criteria. If this fits your skill set, let’s talk technical details and timelines.
