Job Description — Dakar Garlic Market Research Specialist (3-Day Project)
Background: We plan to purchase at least 30 tons of fresh garlic (not old stock) in Senegal in October. Hiring a Dakar-based local representative as an interested bulk buyer to conduct field market research.
Responsibilities: Visit garlic dealers/wholesalers across Dakar; collect retail and wholesale prices; verify supply capacity (30+ tons), fresh-stock status, quality grade, delivery lead time; confirm cash-on-delivery support and inspection-before-payment; collect all supplier contacts and contact them to introduce our purchasing intent.
Deliverables:
Supplier list (address, contact, phone)
Price comparison table (retail, wholesale)
Supply capacity, quality, delivery time assessment
Transaction method verification (cash-on-delivery / inspection-before-payment)
On-site photos and communication records
Requirements: Based in Dakar, fluent in French (required), Wolof a plus; own transportation preferred.
Timeline & Compensation: Submit report within 3 days; hourly rate with transport/communication allowance; paid upon acceptance based on actual hours worked.
