Customer Data Cleaning & Excel Automation

I have a customer database in a single Excel workbook that needs a thorough scrub. The file currently contains duplicate rows, inconsistent name capitalisation, mixed-format emails, city names with spelling variations, and several date columns that appear in multiple formats.

Here is the refinement I’m after:
• Remove every duplicate record while keeping the first valid instance.
• Standardise all personal fields—names in proper case, emails in lowercase, city names consistently spelled.
• Reformat every date to DD/MM/YYYY so reporting tools read them correctly.
• Apply uniform cell formatting (text, number, date) across the sheet.
• Leave any legitimately missing value blank; do not introduce placeholders or delete rows that could still hold useful data elsewhere.

A short note or separate tab summarising the transformations applied would be appreciated so I can audit the work later. Once finished, I expect a single, ready-to-use spreadsheet free of duplicates, with clean headers, frozen panes, and filters enabled for quick analysis. If you prefer Power Query, advanced Excel formulas, or VBA to get there, that’s fine by me—as long as the final file opens flawlessly in standard Microsoft 365 Excel.
