# PLEASE READ WELL BEFORE BIDDING!!!
**This is NOT a standard WooCommerce webshop.**
We are looking for an experienced **Senior WordPress/WooCommerce developer** to build a complete custom e-commerce platform from scratch to turnkey delivery.
Please read the full description before bidding. Generic/copy-paste proposals and unrealistic low bids will be ignored.
To confirm that you have read and understood the project, **START YOUR BID WITH: "CUSTOM MATS"**

## PROJECT
We are rebuilding an existing webshop selling custom-made floor mats for cars and other vehicles.
The most important part of the project is a **scalable vehicle database + search system + dynamic product configurator**, integrated with WooCommerce.
The current database contains approximately **6,000+ records and will continue to grow**, potentially to tens of thousands.
We do NOT want thousands of manually created WooCommerce products for every possible vehicle/material combination.
The technical architecture should connect:
**Vehicle → Compatible mat/product → Available materials → Base price → Options → Final price**
The client must be able to manage and expand the system without requiring a developer for every new machine, material, colour or price.
---
## 1. DATABASE
The client has an existing Excel database containing information including:
* Category / subcategory
* Brand
* Type
* Year / year range
* Additional designation
* Machine/product references
* Product descriptions
* Images
* Material availability
* Material pricing
* Shipping information
* Related products/accessories
* Logo/embroidery information
* Internal references
The database currently has approximately 6,000+ records and will grow substantially.
Developer must:
* Analyse the supplied database.
* Design a scalable database architecture.
* Import/migrate relevant data.
* Make future imports/updates possible.
* Avoid unnecessary duplication of WooCommerce products.
* Maintain good performance with 10,000+ records.
**Your bid MUST explain your proposed database architecture.**
---
## 2. VEHICLE SEARCH
Primary search:
**Brand + Type**
Additional criteria may include:
* Year
* Additional designation
* Extra
* Pedals
The website needs:
* Guided search
* Advanced search
* Standard search bar
Search results must support more than 10 matching vehicles/products.
The database may also contain vehicles for which no mould/product is currently available. These must be distinguishable from products that can actually be ordered.
---
## 3. PRODUCT CONFIGURATOR
The configurator is a core part of the project.
Available materials depend on the selected vehicle. Not every vehicle can use every material.
Examples include:
* Naaldvilt
* Ribtapijt
* Luxe/Premium Velours
* Statesman
* Rubber variants
* Future materials
The system must allow new materials to be added in the future without rebuilding the configurator.
Materials must be manageable from the backend, including activation/deactivation.
---
## 4. PRICING & OPTIONS
Base price is determined by:
**Vehicle + Material**
Additional configurable options include:
### Material colours
Colours depend on the selected material and must be manageable from the backend.
### Edge/border
For non-rubber mats customers can select different edge/border options and colours.
### Logo / text / embroidery
Customer can choose:
* No logo/text
* New logo
* Existing logo
* Text
* Logo upload
* Position(s)
New logo setup: **€15**
Logo placement: **€12 per position**
Multiple positions must automatically calculate the correct surcharge.
Current upload requirement: **AI or EPS, maximum 10 MB.**
All relevant prices/surcharges must be editable from the backend.
---
## 5. PRODUCT PAGES
Product pages should dynamically display:
* Product name
* Image gallery
* Mould/product image
* Vehicle image
* Floor/additional images
* Brand/material images
* Product description
* Vehicle compatibility
* Available materials/options
* Shipping information
* Matching accessories
* Related products
Where possible, information such as brand/type/designation should be generated dynamically from the database.
---
## 6. WOOCOMMERCE
Complete WooCommerce implementation including:
* Cart and checkout
* Guest checkout
* Customer accounts
* Delivery addresses
* Shipping rules
* Discount codes
* Free-shipping rules
* Order confirmation
* Customer emails
* Internal order notifications
The final order must contain all selected configuration options and prices.
---
## 7. PAYMENTS
Integration with **Mollie**, including relevant payment methods such as iDEAL, credit card, PayPal, bank transfer and country-specific methods where applicable.
---
## 8. B2B
Business customers should support:
* Business accounts
* Customer-specific discounts
* Ordering on invoice
* VAT validation
* EU VAT reverse charge
Discounts should be manageable per customer/company.
---
## 9. ACUMULUS
Integration with **Acumulus API**.
The intended system should transfer relevant customer/order information and support automatic invoice creation.
Developer must review the available API and explain the proposed implementation.
---
## 10. MULTILINGUAL
Initial languages:
* Dutch
* English
* German
The architecture should allow additional languages later.
---
## 11. MIGRATION & SEO
Where technically possible, migrate relevant existing:
* Products
* Customer data
* Product information
* Images
* URLs
* Other available webshop data
SEO migration should include existing URLs and appropriate 301 redirects.
The supplied Excel database will be the main source for the new vehicle/product structure.
---
## 12. WEBSITE
The new website will contain, among others:
**Products**
* Materials
* Custom work
* Portfolio
* Accessories

* Payment
* Business ordering
* International/VAT information
* Discounts/gift cards
* Warranty & defects
**Account**
* My account
* Newsletter
* Social media
Content will be supplied by the client where applicable.
---
## 13. PERFORMANCE & TURNKEY DELIVERY
The finished website must be:
* Fully responsive
* Fast and scalable
* Secure
* Compatible with modern browsers
* Maintainable
* Properly tested
Developer is responsible for complete implementation including:
**Development → Database → Custom coding → Import → Integrations → Testing → Bug fixing → Migration → Deployment → Handover**
---
