Custom Accounting & Payroll Software

The objective is to design and build a Windows-based application that unifies my day-to-day bookkeeping and payroll processes in one place. The system must mirror standard accounting workflows, yet stay flexible enough for future rule changes and extra report templates.

Core modules to be delivered
• General ledger with full double-entry support and audit trail
• Accounts payable / receivable, including vendor and customer aging
• Financial reporting that lets me generate balance sheets, P&L, and cash-flow statements on demand
• Payroll processing with automatic, up-to-date tax calculations for each pay run

Key expectations
• Smooth, intuitive UI that non-technical staff can operate after minimal training
• Secure local database, role-based access, and backup/restore options
• Clean installer for Windows 10/11 plus clear deployment notes
• Source code, schema, and a concise user guide handed over at project close

Acceptance criteria
1. All accounting entries post correctly to the ledger and feed instantly into the reports.
2. Payroll produces accurate net pay and tax withholdings for sample employee data I will provide.
3. Reconciliation screens balance to the cent when importing my test bank statement.
4. The compiled app installs on a fresh Windows VM with no missing dependencies.

If you already have experience coding finance systems—especially in C#, .NET, or similar Windows-friendly stacks—your insight will speed things up, but I’m open to the language and framework you feel is best as long as performance and data integrity stay top of mind.
