I’m building a dedicated crop-management application for small- and medium-scale farmers and need a developer who can deliver polished, fully-functional versions for both Android and iOS from a single codebase. The core goal is simple: help growers record, monitor, and optimise every stage of their crop cycle in one place.
The first release should allow a farmer to:
• register fields and crops,
• log activities such as planting, irrigation, fertiliser and pesticide use,
• attach photos or notes to each activity,
• receive reminders and basic analytics that turn their records into easy-to-read insights.
A secure cloud back-end (Firebase, AWS Amplify, or similar) will store user data and sync seamlessly across devices even on low-bandwidth connections. An offline-first approach is important because many users will have patchy connectivity in the field.
UI/UX needs to be clean, icon-driven and available in at least two languages (we can supply translations). If you feel an existing design system like Material 3 or Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines will speed things up, I’m fine with that as long as the result looks coherent on both platforms.
Please include links to past work that shows comparable mobile apps you’ve shipped. Highlight any experience you have with ag-tech, mapping libraries, push notifications, or offline data storage; that will help me gauge fit quickly. A concise roadmap with milestones (prototype, beta, production) will also be appreciated so we can lock timelines and testing periods right away.
Let’s create a tool that makes farmers’ day-to-day decisions easier and keeps their focus where it should be—on healthy, profitable crops.
