YouTube Cricket News Video Editor & Content Producer
We are looking for a passionate cricket follower and experienced YouTube content creator/editor who can take full ownership of producing weekly cricket news content — from identifying a story to researching it, writing the script, editing the video, creating the thumbnail and finally publishing it on YouTube.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will be responsible for turning important cricket news into fast, engaging and professional 1–3 minute Hindi/Hinglish videos.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Closely following daily cricket news and identifying stories that are important or have strong viewer potential.
* Researching breaking stories using reliable sources and verifying facts before publication.
* Writing short, sharp and engaging scripts in a natural Hindi/Hinglish style.
* Creating a strong hook in the first few seconds to maximize viewer retention.
* Editing complete YouTube videos using footage, photographs, graphics, screenshots, animations and other relevant visual elements.
* Creating professional lower thirds, text animations, transitions and on-screen graphics.
* Ensuring clear, clean and engaging audio.
* Creating an attention-grabbing 16:9 YouTube thumbnail for every video.
* Writing SEO-friendly titles, descriptions and tags designed for cricket search traffic and high CTR.
* Uploading and publishing the finished videos on the YouTube channel.
* Providing a short progress update so we know what is being researched, edited, scheduled or already published.
Content Focus
The channel will focus exclusively on cricket news and analysis, rather than match highlights or interview uploads.
Topics may include:
* BCCI and other cricket-board decisions
* Breaking cricket news
* Team India updates
* Player selection, injuries, transfers and major developments
* Squad announcements and probable XIs
* IPL and franchise-related developments
* Cricket controversies and disciplinary decisions
* ICC rules, policies and major changes
* International cricket developments
* Viral cricket stories that have genuine news value
* Short analysis and context around major cricket decisions
Weekly Deliverables
Initially, you will be expected to produce 2–3 complete cricket news videos per week, approximately 1–3 minutes each, including:
* Fully edited 1080p+ video
* Hindi/Hinglish script
* Voiceover
* Professional visual storytelling
* Custom 16:9 thumbnail
* SEO-optimized title
* Description
* Relevant tags/keywords
* Final YouTube upload and publication
* Short progress/status update
The workload may increase if the workflow and quality are a good fit.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely follows cricket every day and can immediately understand whether a story is worth covering.
You should have:
* Strong knowledge of Indian and international cricket
* Excellent Hindi/Hinglish writing ability
* Experience creating YouTube news/content videos
* Strong editing and visual storytelling skills
* An understanding of YouTube CTR, retention and SEO
* Ability to work quickly when a major story breaks
* Strong attention to factual accuracy
* Ability to find and use copyright-safe/royalty-cleared visuals
* Good thumbnail sense
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of the complete production process
You can use Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, CapCut, Filmora or any other professional editing software you are comfortable with.
Voiceover can be your own voice, AI voice or a sourced voice artist, provided the final result sounds natural, professional and suitable for Hindi cricket news content.
Most Important
Speed, Accuracy and Presentation.
When important cricket news breaks, we want to move quickly — ideally researching, producing and publishing the video on the same day.
At the same time, accuracy is extremely important. We don’t want sensationalism at the cost of facts. The goal is to make videos that are fast, engaging, credible and professional.
How to Apply
If you think you are a good fit, please send:
1. A link to 1–2 recent YouTube videos you have edited, preferably cricket/news-related.
2. A short introduction about your cricket knowledge and YouTube experience.
3. The editing software you use.
4. A brief explanation of your workflow — from finding a story to publishing the final video.
5. Your expected fee/rate for producing 2–3 videos per week.
