I am developing a truss bridge and need a structural engineer to design a concrete deck that safely carries a standard traffic load. The job covers everything from confirming section properties of the longitudinal members to detailing the slab reinforcement, bearings, and parapet interfaces so that the final drawings are construction-ready.

Scope
The superstructure will be a traditional truss; no arch or cable-stayed elements are involved. While steel or composite decks are common alternatives, I have already committed to a cast-in-place concrete slab, so all calculations, detailing, expansion-joint selection, and bearing checks must reflect that choice and the associated weight. Live loading should follow standard highway specifications (AASHTO LRFD or the equivalent code you normally use).

Deliverables
• Structural analysis report with load combinations, deflection checks, and member utilisation
• Plan, section, and reinforcement drawings in DWG and PDF formats
• Bearing, joint, and parapet connection details
• Short design note explaining assumptions, software, and codes applied

Acceptance
I will review the analysis file and drawings for code compliance, clarity, and constructability. Payment will be released once any comments are closed out and the files are clean for issue to the contractor.

If you have recent truss bridge projects—especially concrete deck layouts—please mention the software and codes you used so I can gauge fit quickly.
