I am looking for an experienced WordPress freelancer to complete and launch a redesigned website
This is not simply a visual design job. The existing website has Google and Bing search history and backlinks that must be protected during the relaunch.
The selected freelancer will implement approved content, complete the WordPress build, preserve important URLs, configure redirects, fix technical SEO issues, install GA4 and lead tracking, test the enquiry process and manage the launch.
Main responsibilities
Finish and quality-check the staging website
Implement supplied page content
Preserve approved live URLs
Implement and test a supplied redirect plan
Configure titles, descriptions, headings and canonical URLs
Correct robots.txt, sitemap and indexability at launch
Remove all staging-domain references
Configure GA4 and Google Tag Manager where appropriate
Track successful enquiries using generate_lead
Connect GA4 with Google Search Console
Test forms, email delivery, audio players and CTAs
Improve mobile usability, accessibility and performance
Submit the new sitemap to Google and Bing
Monitor the site immediately after launch
Provide written handover and a short screen-recorded walkthrough
Required experience
Applicants should have demonstrable experience with:
WordPress website launches
Website migrations involving existing organic search traffic
Technical SEO and URL redirects
Google Search Console
Bing Webmaster Tools
GA4 and Google Tag Manager
Form conversion tracking
Page-speed optimisation
Mobile and accessibility testing
WordPress backup and rollback procedures
Experience with voiceover, audio, creative-service or lead-generation websites would be useful but is not essential.
Important requirements
Do not change established URLs without approval.
Do not install unnecessary plugins.
Do not use mass-produced AI content.
Do not remove pages solely because they look old.
Do not disavow backlinks without evidence of a manual-action risk and written approval.
Do not promise guaranteed rankings.
All accounts, properties, licences and data must remain under my ownership.
The freelancer must use an individual account rather than my primary administrator login.
What to include in your proposal
Please provide:
Two or three relevant WordPress projects.
An example of a site migration or relaunch where organic search traffic had to be protected.
Your experience with GA4 lead tracking.
How you would test redirects and indexability before launch.
Your proposed project stages and timescale.
A fixed-price quotation, with optional costs listed separately.
