Comedic Video Editor for Gaming Parody

Job description: Video Editor Needed – Turn 8-Minute Comedy/Satire Gameplay Into a 2-Minute Highlight Video

looking for a creative video editor with a **strong sense of comedy, pacing, and storytelling** to edit an approximately 8-minute screen recording of a custom game mission within an online game, that I created called **“Grump Towers.”** This mission/story is available for all players on the platform to experience.

The mission is a lighthearted political satire/parody of Trump Tower. As the player moves through the building, there are interactive tasks, ridiculous gold decorations, exaggerated signs, sarcastic descriptions, fake “official facts,” and running jokes that build on each other throughout the mission.

The raw recording shows me playing through the entire mission from beginning to end. I **do not** want someone to simply trim it down or make a generic gameplay highlight reel.

What I want

I want the finished video to tell the story of Grump Towers while showcasing the funniest and most recognizable satire.

The editor should watch the entire recording and identify:

* The funniest jokes and visual gags
* The best sarcastic descriptions and signs
* The moments that most clearly establish the Trump Tower parody
* Running jokes that become funnier when shown together
* The strongest beginning, middle, and ending moments
* Anything unnecessary that can be removed without hurting the story

The goal is for someone who has **never played the mission** or knows the game even exists, to watch the edited video and immediately understand what Grump Towers is, follow the comedy, and want to keep watching.

Style

Think more like a short comedy segment, mini trailer, or polished highlight reel. Something that features the funniest highlights while feeling like a short story that people understand.

**Please do not overwhelm it with meme effects, constant sound effects, flashy transitions, or TikTok-style editing.** The mission itself is the joke. The editing should make the satire hit harder, not distract from it.

I created this edit because I would like to send the video to Jimmy Kimmel/Fallon etc lol as something their team might find funny enough to watch, share, or potentially feature on their show.

Obviously there are no guarantees of that happening, but I want the final product edited with that audience in mind. Of course if it is featured, you would be credited.

It should feel like:

**“Here is this ridiculous fictional Grump Towers someone actually built as an interactive comedy mission, and these are the funniest parts.”**

rather than:

**“Here is 8 minutes of someone playing a game.”**

Ideally the finished video needs to be **2 minutes maximum**.

This means the editor will need to make strong creative decisions about what stays and what gets cut while still preserving the storyline and making the best jokes land.
