I am considering obtaining an initial legal opinion concerning a potential clinical negligence claim against Bluecrest Health Screening and related UK GDPR/data-protection concerns.

The clinical issue concerns a glucose result of 7.5 mmol/L recorded at a screening appointment on 15 January 2025, followed by hospital admission on 22 January 2025 with severe hyperglycaemia, ketosis and acute kidney injury. I am obtaining the medical records and considering an independent specialist opinion on breach of duty and causation.

I also have concerns about Bluecrest's handling of the screening result, report-processing chronology and personal-data disclosure.

Before instructing you, could you please confirm:

Your experience advising claimants in clinical negligence cases involving delayed diagnosis, screening services or failure to communicate results.

Your experience with UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 compensation claims.

Whether you can accept this private instruction in your current professional capacity, and whether the engagement would be through an SRA-regulated firm or as consultancy.

Your proposed scope of work and fixed fee for an initial written merits assessment covering the potential claims, evidence requirements, limitation periods and recommended next steps.

I would prefer to begin with a limited, fixed-fee assessment before considering any wider instruction.
