Cinematic Discovery App Design

The core experience is content discovery, simple media upload, personalized results, saved moments, sharing and subscription/credit flows. I do not want long onboarding, mandatory email sign-up or confusing AI controls. Users should be able to explore naturally, choose something they like and only upload when they are ready.

The goal is not to copy their visual style, but to create the same level of ease, quality and product thinking with our own cinematic identity.

We have an early web prototype to communicate the direction. We now need a strong product designer to turn it into a polished iOS/Android app experience.
Scope for the first paid milestone:
Brand moodboard and lightweight visual system
Explore/home screen with cinematic category rows
Persistent “Your Face / Add selfie” entry point
Scene cards and scene detail bottom sheet
Selfie upload and simple style preference flow
Personalized preview screen
Generation/loading, error and retry states
My Moments / results / sharing screen
Credits and subscription paywall
Clickable Figma prototype for the full core journey
Mobile-first design for iOS and Android
Required skills:
Strong Figma skills: components, variants, auto layout, prototyping
Consumer mobile app UX/UI experience
Experience with onboarding, subscriptions, paywalls and creator/social products
Ability to design loading, empty, error and success states — not only polished mockups
Strong visual taste: premium, cinematic, minimal, editorial
Good written English
Experience preparing developer-ready Figma files
Nice to have:
AI app, photo/video editor, subscription app, entertainment app or social app experience
Experience with Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Android Material principles
Motion design / micro-interaction thinking
Important design direction:
Explore first; selfie upload must be visible but never forced on first launch
No generic “AI magic” visual clichés
No cluttered onboarding or long forms
Premium, elegant, emotionally engaging and easy to use
