Cartoon Kids’ Character Redesign

I have a children’s book series with four established protagonists who need a fresh, unified look before the next release. Each character must be re-illustrated in a vibrant, full-color cartoon style that immediately signals adventure and curiosity. Their personalities are already defined in the manuscripts; the artwork has to amplify that spirit—think bright palettes, dynamic poses, and expressive faces that invite young readers to explore right alongside them.

Source sketches and reference notes for proportions, key props, and existing color cues are ready to share as soon as we start. The final illustrations should be high-resolution layered files suitable for both print and ebook layouts as well as clean, transparent PNGs for marketing assets.

Deliverables (all four characters):
• Turnaround sheet: front, ¾, side, and back views
• One action pose that showcases their adventurous streak
• Color palette swatches used in each file (for future consistency)

Acceptance criteria:
Artwork stays on-model with supplied references, colors remain print-safe (CMYK), and files arrive neatly organized and labeled so my layout designer can drop them straight into InDesign.
