I need a complete access strategy and outline site layout for a new student-housing scheme in Castletroy. The scheme comprises five blocks (5–8 storeys) holding 196 bed clusters—about 1,400 student beds in total—so the circulation network has to perform flawlessly from day one.
Access points
• Vehicle, pedestrian and bicycle entries must be identified and dimensioned.
• Each location should balance smooth traffic flow with pedestrian-cyclist safety while staying sensibly close to the surrounding main roads.
Site layout features
The masterplan must weave in green spaces, well- organised parking courts and recreational zones so that movement routes feel natural rather than imposed.
What I expect in the final PDF (single file)
• Annotated drawings or CAD outputs of the three access systems showing turning paths, visibility splays, tracking for service vehicles and links to external roads.
• An outline site plan highlighting greenery, parking allocation and play/leisure pockets, all tied into the chosen access geometry.
• A brief technical narrative (max. 2,500 words) explaining your design logic, standards followed (e.g., DMURS, TII, local development plan), forecast traffic volumes and any mitigation measures.
• Supporting calculations or software outputs that demonstrate junction capacity and pedestrian/cycle level-of-service.
Submission deadline: 23:00 this Friday—one consolidated PDF ready for upload to Sulis.
Accuracy, clarity and compliance with Irish transport guidance will be the key acceptance criteria.
