Bulk Procurement & BOM Creation

I’m ready to streamline the supply chain for a new line of power-system equipment—transformers, switchgear and complete substations—and I need a seasoned procurement partner to jump in from day one.

Scope of work
• Build a comprehensive, manufacturing-standard Bill of Materials that covers every electrical component, mechanical part and raw material we require.
• Identify and qualify multiple sources worldwide for each line item, making sure they meet our technical specs, lead-time expectations and compliance needs.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and annual volume agreements that lock in cost advantages for bulk purchasing.
• Set up an initial inventory framework so the BOM can flow directly into our ERP (SAP/Oracle or a well-structured Excel template if you prefer).
• Oversee supplier onboarding and ongoing relationship management through first purchase orders.

Key industries & product focus
The components feed directly into high-voltage power systems, distribution transformers and turnkey substation packages, so familiarity with IEC/ANSI standards, copper and silicon-steel sourcing, LV/MV switchgear, bushings, CTs, PTs and structural steel fabrications is critical.

Deliverables
1. Finalised multi-level BOM (xlsx or CSV) cross-referenced to drawing numbers.
2. Vetted supplier matrix with contact details, MOQ, lead time and negotiated price breaks.
3. Signed RFQ comparison sheet and recommendation report.
4. Draft supply agreements ready for legal review.
5. First purchase order package prepared for execution.

Acceptance criteria
The project is complete once the BOM imports without errors into our ERP, at least two qualified suppliers are secured for every critical item, and negotiated unit costs hit or beat the current should-cost baseline I will share at kickoff.
