**Preference:** Individual Indian developer working remotely, with the ability to coordinate with an Indian development team.
## Project Description
We are an international renewable energy and smart technology company developing a comprehensive digital platform for residential, commercial and industrial energy applications.
We are looking for an experienced **full-time developer based in India** to build our Energy Management System (EMS) application using **Floot**.
The objective is to develop one integrated, scalable application connecting multiple renewable energy products, smart devices and energy management services.
This is not a simple website or dashboard project. It involves application development, device communication, API integrations, data visualization, automation and intelligent energy optimization.
## Product Categories
The application will cover the following product categories:
1. **Energy Management Systems:** Real-time energy monitoring, optimization, automation, consumption forecasting and AI-assisted energy control.
2. **Solar PV Systems:** Residential, commercial and industrial solar panels, rooftop installations, solar carports, vertical solar installations and agricultural PV systems.
3. **Solar Inverters:** Single-phase, three-phase, hybrid, string, microinverters and off-grid power conversion systems.
4. **Battery Energy Storage:** Plug-and-play home batteries, modular residential storage, commercial battery cabinets and industrial BESS solutions.
5. **Smart Energy Metering:** Single-phase and three-phase smart meters, P1 interfaces, power measurement and energy gateways.
6. **Smart Switching:** Smart plugs, remote-controlled switches, relays, load management and automated device control.
7. **EV Charging:** Residential and commercial AC charging stations, smart charging, load balancing and dynamic charging schedules.
8. **Heat Pumps:** Residential and commercial heat pumps, heating management and energy optimization.
9. **Hot Water Systems:** Heat pump water heaters, electric water heating and intelligent heating schedules.
10. **Infrared Heating:** Smart infrared heating panels, temperature management and zone control.
11. **Ventilation Systems:** Mechanical ventilation, heat recovery ventilation and airflow management.
12. **Solar Lighting:** Smart solar-powered lighting, energy consumption monitoring and remote operation.
13. **Small Wind Energy:** Distributed wind generation monitoring and integration.
14. **Energy-Integrated Infrastructure:** Solar shelters, carports, outdoor infrastructure and related energy devices.
15. **Energy Accessories:** Smart sensors, installation components, monitoring accessories and related electrical equipment.
The application must support future expansion into additional product categories without requiring a complete redesign.
## Main Responsibilities
The selected developer will:
1. Develop the EMS application using Floot.
2. Build responsive web and mobile-friendly interfaces.
3. Create user dashboards for homeowners, installers and commercial operators.
4. Develop real-time energy monitoring and visualization.
5. Integrate devices through available APIs and communication gateways.
6. Implement battery charging and discharging controls.
7. Develop inverter monitoring and management.
8. Integrate smart meters, smart plugs and switching devices.
9. Implement dynamic electricity tariff functionality.
10. Develop EV charging and intelligent load management.
11. Build automation rules, alerts and notifications.
12. Implement user authentication, device registration and account management.
13. Create installer administration and commissioning interfaces.
14. Develop a scalable database and backend architecture.
15. Test, document and improve the platform continuously.
The system should be designed for deployment across multiple European countries.
## Technical Requirements
**Essential skills:**
- Practical experience with Floot or similar AI-assisted full-stack development platforms.
- Strong understanding of APIs, REST, JSON and webhooks.
- Experience with databases, authentication and backend systems.
- JavaScript or TypeScript knowledge.
- Responsive UI/UX development.
- Experience connecting external devices or IoT platforms.
- Ability to debug, test and maintain production applications.
- Familiarity with Git and structured development workflows.
**Additional advantages:**
- Experience with solar inverters and battery storage systems.
- Modbus TCP/RTU, MQTT and IoT gateways.
- OCPP for EV charging.
- Smart meters and European P1 interfaces.
- Dynamic electricity tariffs.
- Energy optimization algorithms.
- AI agents and automated energy management.
- European residential and commercial electricity systems.
Candidates without previous renewable-energy experience may apply if they have strong IoT, API and application development capabilities.
## Working Arrangement
**Period:** 15 October to 31 December 2026.
This is a dedicated, full-time remote assignment for a developer located in India.
We expect approximately 40 working hours per week, regular communication in English, daily progress reporting and structured weekly deliverables.
The developer will cooperate directly with our international project management and may coordinate with an Indian development team.
The work must be carried out in our designated Floot project environment, with all code, application configurations, documentation and associated intellectual property belonging to our company.
## Expected Deliverables
By the end of the contract, we expect:
1. A functioning EMS application with agreed priority features.
2. Responsive consumer and installer dashboards.
3. Working device integrations for selected hardware.
4. Energy monitoring, battery control and automation functionality.
5. Scalable architecture supporting all listed product categories.
6. Documented APIs, database structure and application workflows.
7. Tested application components and a clear development handover.
The complete scope will be prioritized into milestones after the initial technical assessment.
## Application Requirements
When applying, please provide:
1. Your experience with Floot, including examples of applications you have built.
2. Links to previous dashboards, IoT projects or SaaS applications.
3. Your experience integrating hardware through APIs.
4. Your availability for full-time work from 15 October until 31 December 2026.
5. Your location in India.
6. Your expected monthly remuneration in EUR.
7. Whether you work independently or with an Indian development team.
8. Your proposed approach to developing a complex EMS application in Floot.
**Important:** We are looking for someone who can actually build, integrate, test and deliver the application, not someone who only creates UI mockups or simple websites.
We prefer a developer interested in a long-term professional relationship, as further development and maintenance may continue beyond December 2026.## Existing Resources and Development Tools
The project is already in an advanced preparation stage. The selected developer will receive access to existing materials and development resources, including:
1. **Floot:** The primary application development platform.
2. **Claude:** AI-assisted programming, technical architecture, debugging and development support, including relevant plugins and integrations.
3. **ChatGPT:** AI-assisted development, documentation, testing and workflow support, including relevant plugins and integrations.
4. **Design System:** Approximately 80% of the UI/UX design system has already been prepared, including interface concepts, design guidelines, components and application structures.
5. **Technical Documentation:** Existing product information, application requirements, functional specifications and development concepts will be provided.
6. **Project Guidance:** Direct collaboration with the project owner, who will provide product knowledge, technical requirements, feedback and priorities.
The developer will not be required to design the complete application from scratch.
The main responsibility is to use the existing design system and technical resources to build, integrate, test and deliver a working application within Floot.
Experience using Claude and ChatGPT alongside Floot is strongly preferred.
**We are seeking an implementation-focused developer who can convert an existing, substantially prepared project into operational software, rather than a designer or consultant who only produces concepts.**
The successful candidate must be comfortable working with AI-assisted development tools while independently validating code quality, security, integrations and application performance.
