I’m creating Stagvestor, a web-based personal finance hub for Indian users that works seamlessly on phone, tablet, and desktop with a single login. The first milestone centres on three concrete abilities:
• record freelance/contract income,
• tag every expense both by type (food, transport, etc.) and by payment method (cash, UPI, debit, credit),
• track live credit-card utilisation.
Around these pillars the app already envisions budget limits, SIP / FD / stock / gold tracking, and an optional demo demat-sync built to mimic India’s Account Aggregator flow. All data must sit behind bcrypt-hashed passwords, device-scoped sessions, and e-mail or phone OTP verification served over HTTPS.
Deliverables
1. MVP running on a staging URL that fulfils the three core functions above and lays groundwork for the savings & investments module.
2. Clean, well-commented code in a Git repository.
3. A concise setup guide plus basic API documentation.
Acceptance check: during a live screen-share I will add a freelance income entry, log an expense that shows dual categorisation, confirm credit-card utilisation updates, and then repeat the same actions on a second device without re-entry of data.
I lean toward React + Node/Express + Postgres, but I’m open to your stack if you can justify it. Tell me how you’d architect the secure auth flow, any finance apps you’ve shipped, and the timeline you foresee. Let’s build Stagvestor into India’s go-to money manager.
